Summing up my “expression through ceramics” is something I struggle with, because ceramics are such a huge part of me. I am a ceramics artist at my very core, with a diverse interaction with ceramics ranging from archaeology, collecting, research, teaching and making.
I am deeply interested in the connection ceramics have with our lives, our ideas, our rituals. The infinite canvas they represent, that captures the zeitgeist of each stage of human existence.
When we have long gone, ceramics will be the eternal torn pages of our history, all that remains of us. Then let the stars judge our ashes and broken sherds.
