Policies, Terms & Conditions

Photography
I do my best to represent colours as accurately and true to life as possible, however colours may not appear the same on different devices. Note also that most items will look different when lit up under lighting.

Privacy Policy
I will not share your contact information, or any other details, with anyone else, with the sole exception being if a fraud is suspected to have taken place. The plugins used to build this site use cookies to make everything work, I have not authorised them to collect any private data, and I don’t use cookies to analyse you or store any info about you.

Returns Policy for goods
I want you to be completely happy with your purchases, therefore I offer a full refund guarantee. Items which are returned for any reason (other than being incorrect, or not as described), are subject to the following conditions:

  • All returns must be returned in original condition. Items that are altered, soiled or damaged will void refund.
  • Returned items must be packed properly (in the original packaging if possible) for secure return posting. Items that are damaged during return transit due to inadequate packing will void refund. Insured and tracked post is recommended.
  • I will refund cost of purchase only – postage costs will not be refunded.
  • All returns must be notified within 14 days of delivery or refund will be voided.
  • Please contact me before returning any item.

In the event of goods being incorrectly described or the wrong goods being sent, I will refund your postage costs as well as the cost of goods, once items have been returned and received in good order.
In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged please note this when signing for the item with the courier and please take a photo of the packaging if possible, then contact me.

Refunds for Pottery classes and workshops
There are no refunds for classes or workshops that you wish to cancel for any reason. However you are free to sell your place to somebody else if you can (provided they are 16 or over). If you do need to cancel then let me know as soon as possible so that I can re-advertise your place. If your place can be resold then I will refund your original payment minus a 10% charge to cover my time and financial transaction fees.

Classes & Workshops are at your own risk.
You are expected to treat the workshop / pottery studio with care at all times and be aware that it is a working studio. There are hazards from chemicals, tools, and machinary. By booking a place on a pottery class or workshop, or entering the pottery studio for any reason, you accept that you are aware of the hazzards and do so entirely at your own risk. You also acknowledge that you have downloaded or otherwise received, and read the studio guide: “Studio Pottery Classes Guide“.

Post & Packing
Postage is based on weight. Small Packet Airmail is available for overseas packages up to a maximum weight 2 Kg. Above this you will need to use a courier. I pack pots securely with ample packaging. A mixture of new and clean re-used packaging is used to minimise the impact on the environment.
You will be able to choose your postage method and see the actual cost during checkout (before needing to commit to buy). If you would prefer to make other postal arrangements, or wish to discuss the possibility of collecting your purchases in person, then please contact me with your requirements.
You are responsible for any import duties and taxes imposed in your country upon receiving the goods, if any such taxes or duties apply.

Postal Insurance
It is only possible to insure pots against loss in transit but not against damage. I pack all parcels to a very high standard so that they will survive rough handling should it occur. Insurance is not included in standard post, if you require insurance please contact me before Checkout for a quote.

Sale of Goods:
Items will be posted once payment has been received in full. I will wait for cheques to clear before posting goods. Title of ownership will remain with PBC Trading (trading as: Paul Bohanna Ceramics)  until items are paid for in full including all associated postal costs.
A full printed paper receipt will be included with all orders for your records.

Payments
This site uses WooCommerce Shopping cart, which allows a large number of secure payment methods. All online payment methods via the shopping cart charge me a transaction percentage fee. If you seek to negotiate a discount from me (for instance on purchasing more than one item) then please note that payment methods such as Bank Transfers (BACs etc.) which are arranged with me directly, or cash on collection, will allow me more room to negotiate. Though obviously as a starving artist I’d prefer you to pay the prices I’m asking.

Special Notice concerning Posting to the EU:
Please be aware that since Brexit, the EU has been delaying almost all parcels from the UK for apparently political reasons. Some parcels are taking as long as 2 months to arrive. Hopefully relations with our friends in Europe will eventually normalise, but until then please expect serious delays if you are a European Union based buyer. So far every parcel has eventually arrived and I ask for your patience.
