Book Your Place on a Pottery Class / Workshop ~ 2025

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The Sweeney Pottery will be relocating during 2025. Therefore no more classes will be available until further notice. [Existing students can continue to attend to finish current work]. I am sorry for any inconvenience.

NOTE: Subject to weather – if very cold please check in advance – there is heating in the studio but it is difficult to heat effectively so please wear warm clothes if attending the classes during cold weather.

GENERAL POTTERY CLASSES

You can join a class at any time.
Classes run on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Tuesday classes are from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Saturday
classes are from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

The cost of each block of 6 classes is £
(Each block of 6 classes is a total of 18 hours studio time).

The General Pottery Classes are friendly and informal and you will be free to pursue your own creative ideas if preferred, or tuition and demonstration will be available as needed.

When you book a block of 6 classes these can be attended on either Tuesdays or Saturdays, or a mix of both. You will not lose your sessions if you miss days. If you pay for 6 classes you will get 6 classes.

There is also an additional charge for work that is fired in the kiln.
Increases in electricity and materials costs mean that a small charge will be made to recover some of these costs. This will only be charged when clay is first fired (bisque firing), any further glaze firing is included in this charge. There is no charge for work that is not fired and returned to the reclaim ‘bin’.
Bisque fired  = £ per Kg

TASTER CLASSES

Classes run on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Tuesday classes are from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Saturday
classes are from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

The cost of one Taster Class is £
(each taster class is 3 hours studio time).

If you would like to try one class to see if pottery is for you then a Taster Class is the ideal solution. These are available by joining the General Pottery Classes for a single session (or at other times by special arrangement only).  You will be able to try the same things available to the General Classes but if you want your work to be fired you will need to book further classes.

Before booking a place in a class it is highly recommended that you first read the Terms and Conditions (workshop rules etc.) contained in the “Studio Pottery Classes Guide”.

By booking a place in a block of classes or a Special Workshop you are agreeing to the terms and conditions listed in the guide, as well as the terms described on the “Pottery Classes” page of this website.

Special Workshops are run from time to time on different days and more details will be provided as they are made available.
